Obituary

Betty Doris Morrison was born on September 26,1956 to the late Johnnie and Josephine Jones. She made her peace with the Lord on Thursday November 19, 2020 at the age of 64. She had been in failing health for a while, yet she didn’t complain. She graduated from the Public Schools of Robeson County. She accepted Christ at an early age, and she was a member of Cromartie Temple Of Praise.  Doris worked for many years as a production worker in textile until her health would no longer allow her to do so. She had a great sense of humor, and a heart of gold.  She never met a stranger and  she was a pleasure to be around.  She was one who would give you the shirt off her back. She enjoyed family gathering and doing crosswords and listening to gospel music..

She was preceded in death by her parents Johnnie and Josephine Jones, husband Ronald Morrison, a brother John Jones, two sisters Ann and Shelby Jones.

She will forever be missed by her three daughters Karen Pierre (Gumtz), Meropi Hawkins, La-Quita Morrison, a step-daughter Samantha McKoy(Lamont) all of Lumberton, NC;  ten grandchildren; Lakia, Alexander(Tierre), Dontrez, Davin(Kristen), Jamar, Rhiannon, Nadiyah, DaQuan, Tremya and Malayah, twelve great-grandchildren, A brother Henry Jones (Floretta) of Baltimore, MD.; four sisters Charlotte Williams, Carolyn McCormick both of Lumberton, NC, Maxine Ellis of Fayetteville, NC. Eileen Jones of Charlotte, NC and her long-time best friend Brenda Breeden, four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

Poem For Grandma:

GRANDMA Thank you for being the BEST grandma anyone could ever ask for... from the disciplines to the treats. For all of the unconditional love you gave us all.. Although we’re sad that you had to leave us so soon, we know that you’re no longer in pain. We will always cherish the memories and time we had with you grandma. Life will be so different without you, but you’ll forever be in our hearts. We’ll forever miss and love you so much!!!

                                       Love and kisses!
