Mrs. Estella Walker McCollum, 95 of Rowland, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Estella was born on June 26, 1928 to the late Will Walker and Christina McNair Walker. She was edudcated in the Public School system of Robeson County. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and she was a faithful member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she attended regularly until her health declined. Estella loved family and friends and she always made anyone who came in contact with her feel loved. She was well known to many as well as loved by many. She loved to visit the sick and shut in because she loved people.
Preceeding Estella in death are: her husband, James McCollum , two sons, James Arthur McCollum and Jerico McCollum; one daughter Sarah Lee McCollum Page; two brothers, her twin John L. Walker and James L Walker; five sisters, Isbelle, Willie, Maggie, Cora Lee and Caldonia also three grandchilddren.
Mrs. Estella leaves to cherish her precious memories, six children; Mary Helen Baker of Rowland, NC, Mary Raysor (Maceo) of Manhattan, NY, Dorothy James of Burlington, North Carolina , Alfred McCollum (Gloria) of Rowland, North Carolina, Selena Leach of the home and Lisa Meekins (Gilbert) of Rowlalnd, North Carolina; thirty one grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren , great- great-grandchildren, along with a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
