Mrs. Glenda Williams Ford, the daughter of the late James Sr. Williams and Lee Anna McCormick Willams was born August 5,1950 in Lumberton, North Carolina. She departed this life on February 17, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina for her eternal home.
Glenda joined First Baptist Church at an early age, where she was a faithful member for well over 50 years. Glenda received her education in the Public Schools of Robeson County, attending Rosenwald Elementary, and graduating from Fairmont High School in 1969. She attended Robeson Community College and majored in Food Service. She was also a loyal employee of Rosenwald Elementary School for Twenty-five and a half years.
In 1970, Glenda met the love of her life, the late Eugene Ford, Sr. On January 21, 1972, the two became one, and from their loving union came their one and only child Eugene Ford, Jr.
Glenda leaves to cherish her memory; a son Eugene Ford, Jr of Lumberton, NC; four beautiful grandchildren, Rauzuan Ford of Fayetteville, NC, Drezuan Ford of Norfolk, VA, Jominic Lewis of Pembroke, NC and TaShaunda McAllister of the home; two beautiful great granddaughters; Za'Raelyn Ford and Jailee Hill. Her loving siblings; Loisteen Willams Smith, James Williams, Jr. (Angela), Elliotine Floyd (Booker T), Annie L. McKay (Duncan), Charles Willams (Barbara), Stephen Williams (Sharon), Larry Williams (Annie), Franklin Williams (Sharon) Martricia Willams Bethea (Alfonza) and Sandra Williams. One Uncle; Bennie McCormick (Elouise). Glenda also leaves behind a host of special nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was family oriented and very well known in the community. Affectionately known as "Hen" and "Big Mama" by those who loved her most. She loved to cook and have good conversation. One thing about her, she wouldn't take no mess, but would love you with all her heart.
