Mrs. Gloria Faye McIntyre, the daughter of both the late William V. Floyd and Margaret Hill Floyd was born on February 23, 1958 in Lumberton, North Carolina and departed this life on Sunday January 23, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC, for her eternal home.
Gloria received her education in the public schools of Robeson County, attending Hilly Branch Elementary, Green Grove Middle and Fairgrove High School. She went on to gain her bachelor's degree in Business Administration at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.
Gloria confessed Christ at an early age and became an active member at Hilly Branch Baptist Church. She was a loving, devoted daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her sweet and kind soul and always extended warmth, generosity and gentleness.
Gloria began her employment with the town of Fairmont, later worked at the Robeson County Home Health Agency and then spent nearly 22 years as a Deputy Clerk with the North Carolina Court system - Judiciary Branch.
Gloria was an impassioned evangelist and worship leader at Holy Word Full Gospel Church alongside her husband, Reverend John A. McIntyre. Together they established a church ministry television broadcast and published a book.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a husband of 39 years, John A. McIntyre of Fairmont, North Caroliina, four children; Mark C. McIntyre (Elizabeth) of Durham, North Carolina, Joseph M. McIntyre of the home, Luke A. McIntyre (Kendra J) of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Jennifer G. McIntyre of Greensboro, North Carolina; one stepson, Andrew C. McIntyre of Lumberton, North Carolina. 3 grandchildren: Miles P McIntyre, Jaden E. McIntyre and Eden R. McIntyre. 3 siblings; Robert E. Floyd, Deloris F. Pighet and Booker T Floyd (Tina) all of Fairmont, North Caroline and a host of beloved relatives, coworkers, friends and loved ones.
