Mrs Hattie Lee Malloy Paisley of Fairmont, NC passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2021 in the comfort of her home. She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Jannie Richardson Malloy and the late Mr. Harvey Malloy. Hattie was one of three siblings who both preceded her in death; James and Ida Pearl. Hattie was raised in a sharecroppers family. The family worshipped at Ohavah AME Church and she took part in the activities of the church. Hattie graduated from high school and soon after was united in holy matrimony with Rudolph Paisley. They were the proud parents of one daughter ("Bunny") Hattie Mae who preceded her in death, and six sons; Ritchie, Robbie, Ronnie , Rudolph , Roy and Russel. Hattie was always young at heart and enjoyed her children and grandchildren to the highest. She was blessed in many ways til the end.
Hattie mostly woked as a selfemployed agent in Life and Health insurance. She was the insurance agent of many residents of Robeson County and other surrounding countys as well. She worked for some years at Converse and as manager of several convenient stores. Hattie was strong, independent, loving, compassionate, selfless and a perfect example of " love thy neighbor as thy self". She would put her need on hold to go and help someone else. She was always immaculately dressed, and wearing a big smile. The song "If I can help somebody as I pass along, If I can cheer somebody with a word or song, If I can show somebody, she (he) is traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain. Hattie's living was definantly not in vain as she answered the call of Jehovah God to do unto others as you would have them do unto you and to go into the vineyard and tell the good news of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed her field work with brothers and sisters of the faith.
Hattie loved driving her automobile, she loved baking delicious breads and cakes, and preparing delicious Sunday meals for the family. Those Sunday meals included fresh vegestables brought home by the son everybody called "Boss" and Robbie would bring the fixings. Her son Boss provided great care for her when she became to the point that she could no longer care for herself. "Boss" who lived in the home with her was her champion.
Hattie's link in the family chain has again been added with those who preceded her in death: her daughter Hattie, her parents and all of her siblings.
Her legacy of love will be continued through those that she loved so very much: Six sons, Ritchie Paisley of Fairmont, NC; Robbie (Tina) Paisley and Ronnie Paisley of Lumberton, NC, Rudolph Paisley of Qutar, Iran and Russel Paisley (Lisa) of Virginia Beach, VA. and Roy Paisley of the home; a host of grand children, and great grandchildren, along with lots of neices , nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends and her special friend and caregiver Dianne (Necie) Wallace.
