Howard Bruno Pittman was born November 5, 1956 to both the late Bruce Pittman and Dr. Mary Frances Bethea Swann. He departed this earthly journey on Tuesday February 14, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. Knowing that this day would surely come, Bruno accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He held on to his faith until the end. Bruno was a 1975 graduate of Reid Ross High School of Fayetteville where he played football and was quite good at the game. On Sunday afternoon you could always find him in front of the television watching the football game. His playing of the game was something he talked about frequently even up to weeks before his transition. Bruno (AKA Rico) would tell anyone who has ears to hear, he could hear people yelling his name from the stands during a game. He caught his last throw, threw his last pass, he made his last interception, he made his last tackle, his last fumble, he made his last punt return. He caught the last ball that was thrown and he scored and made his last touchdown oo February 14, 2023, when he heard the Lord say, "Come in and take your rest". Bruno was a man who believed in working and did so until his health would not allow him to continue. He possessed a giving heart for all. There was nothing he wouldn't do that he could do for anyone. His presence on this earth shall truly be missed becaused he possessed a uniqueness about himself.
Bruno was preceded in death by both parents, and one brother Kenneth Myron Pittman.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Miquell Roshawn McKoy, Elizabeth Coward, the mother of his son; a special friend Fenicha Graham, grandchildren Futoria Harris, Mckya McKoy, Miquell Roshawn McKoy Jr, adopted daughter Velicia McLaurin and adopted grandson Ty'lek O. Blackledge. His memories will be forever cherished by his siblings Dale (Rhonda) Pittman of Texas, Ramona (Raymond T.) Burns of Hamlet, NC; Wanda Pittman of Fayetteville, NC and Sheila (Johnny) Coleman of Texas.
