Ilar (Crawford) McDonald

Mrs. Ilar Bell McDonald, of Fairmont, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday at the golden age of Ninety-Seven. Mrs. McDonald was the loving mother of one daughter and four sons.  Kenneth preceded her in death.  Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of both the late Mr. Ezekiel Crawford and Mrs. Bertha Worley Crawford.  Mrs. McDonald was raised in Fairmont. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church North Main Street and for many years she was the eldest member.   Mrs. McDonald was the manager of Hills Funeral Home for many years before her retirement. She was a licensed funeral director. Ila Bell participated in many Civic duties in Fairmont, and was a member of the Eastern Star.  The full obituary will follow soon.
