Mr. Johnnie Jones was born in Lumberton, North Carolina . He finished this journey called life on Friday March 31, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville, North Carolina. He was 85 years old. Mr. Johnnie was the son of both the later Mr. Clarence Bailey and Ms. Lucy Jones.
Johnnie was dedicated to whatever he put his hands and mind on. He worked for many years at West Point Pepperell and later, moved to another job at Lumberton Dye and Finishing where he remained until he retired. Later in life Johnnie decided to give his life to Christ at New Beginning Church. There he was baptized under the leadership of Dr. Otis Pelham. Johnnie became a faithful and dedicated servant of God and was ordained as a deacon in the churcn. Johnnie served faithfully before and even after his health failed him. Johnnie remained a faithful servant all the way to the end of his life. Johnnie was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grand father.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his daughter Shelia Ann McKinnon, and son Teco Devon McKinnon.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Linda Jones; Children: Donald McNeill (Andrea) of Lumberton, North Carolina, Brenda Smith of Lumberton, North Carolina, Keith Caldwell of Lumberton, North Carolina, Johnny Lee McKinnon of Lumberton, North Carolina, Regina Morris (Herbert) of Oklahoma, Connie Murphy (James) of Lumberton, North Carolina, Sylvia McKinnon of New York, Susan McNeill of Lumberton, North Carolina, Takisha McKinnon of Lumberton, North Carolina, Jamie McNeill (Paulet) of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Chris Jones (Theresa) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lisa Jones of Lumberton, North Carolina, Treetie Cain of Lumberton, North Carolina, Dwyane Jones of Lumberton, North Carolina, Delaine Baldwin (Phil) of Lumberton, North Carolina, Shameka Williams (Wilbert) of Georgia and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that loved him so much.,
