Kathy Mae Pittman entered this world as a bright-eyed beautiful bundle of joy on January 11, 1974. She was the sweet daughter of Blondie Pittman and Douglas Gerald. At that time, little did she know that her life would be one of service to her fellow man. She was raised and nurtured in Fairmont, North Carolina by her mom, Blondie. Kathy was educated at Fairmont High School where she easily made friends and was popular with everyone. After school she entered the health care field.
Kathy was employed as a CNA and made it possible for patients to remain in the comfort of their home during ill health that required an attendant. Recently she was employed at Lumberton Assistant Living. Kathy was dependable and loyal and loved her job, providing the best of care to her patients. She was also loved by her family and many friends. She was a very happy person and always wore a big smile. She was loving referred to as “Cat Woman”.
Kathy was the mother of three loving children, Erik, Essence and Diomonta. She loved spending time with the children as well as being the life of the party at family gatherings. She was first introduced to Christ at an early age at St. John AME Church in Fairmont where the family worshiped. Recently she attended Higher Ground Church in Lumberton, NC. To know her was to love her.
Kathy departed this life suddenly on November 30, 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She has now joined her heavenly family who preceded her in death: her mother Ms. Blondie Pittman, grandparents Rosa Lee Pittman and Celester Pittman, aunts, Clementine, Betty Lou.
