Kay Frances Blue Dickerson, daughter of the late Willie Roscoe Blue, Sr. and Martie Pittman Blue, was born July 19, 1937. She departed this life on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fayetteville, NC. Kay loved the Lord, fought a “good fight” AND kept the faith! She was faithful to her family, friends and Mt. Carmel Church Family! Kay loved to sing! Before her illness, she sang on Mt. Carmel‘s Senior and Gospel Choirs! Kay also taught Sunday school and was an active member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Circle. She loved intensely, made friends easily and left a unique and lasting impression on the hearts of all who encountered her!
Kay leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Crystal Clawson (Sandell) of Lumberton, NC; Deborah McPhaul of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Vannishal Brown (John) of Fayetteville NC; two sons, Phil Dickerson of Charlotte, NC and Christopher Dickerson of Sacramento, California; One brother, Roscoe Blue, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Virginia McCormick , Pamela Ford (George) and Myra McCullough (Sam) all of Raleigh, NC; Seven grandchildren, several great -grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kay is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Dickerson; two sisters, Fannie Nichols and Carolyn Woods and one grandson Christopher Xavier Dickerson.
