Khalil Tomas Alford

Khalil Tomas Alford, gained his wings and a silence blanketed the earth on February 7th, 2024. Khalil was the son of Keisa and Phillip Arnette of Lumberton, along with Tomas Alford of Rowland, NC. Khalil departed this life at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Although it seems his time with us was short and ended in tragedy, he accomplished things others will never accomplish in a lifetime.

Khalil received his education at South Robeson High School of Rowland, NC and Fairmont High School, of Fairmont, NC where he graduated with a 4.0 Grade Point Average Summa Cum Laude. He was academically gifted performing in the top percentile of his graduating class and excelled in everything he put his hands to.  He was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and National Technical Honor Society.  He had a passion for sports and displayed that passion on the Junior Varsity basketball team where he earned a spot during his high school career on the Varsity Team at Fairmont High.  After graduation from Fairmont High, he chose to continue his education by enrolling at the University of North Carolina in Pembroke.  

Khalil was a model child and set good examples for other school mates and peers. He displayed a commendable attitude and ethical character in life which included in the classroom and on the basketball court and in the community.  

Khalil was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Reginald McCall of Rowland. His paternal grandfathers Allen Smith and Ronald Arnette.

Khalil leaves to cherish his memories his mother Keisa Arnette, Father(s) Phillip Arnette and Tomas Alford. His sisters Sadaria Miles (Mingo) of Lumberton, Sanyah of Fairmont, Jazmyne of Charlotte and Amaria Arnette of Orrum. His maternal grandmother Bobbie Davis of Rowland, Ms. Ruth Arnette of Marietta, Uncle Jarius McIntosh (Courtney) of Rowland. Maternal Aunts Katina Whittington of Lumberton, Brittany McCall of Lumberton.  Uncles, Ryan McCall and Reginald (Jr) McCall,  Mark Drake (Iris) of Lakeview and Tim Drake of Florence, Aunt Andrea Arnette , Marietta, NC.) and Uncle Ronald Arnette Jr of Marietta, NC ;  Great Aunts, Connie McCallum (James), Sarah Green, Allen Jean Love of Rowland and Elizabeth Heath, Roosevelt NY; Uncles Billy Ray Davis, (Jackie) of Tucker GA, James Baker (Jackie) of Rowland, NC.  Paternal Grandmother, Pamela Campbell, Paternal aunts, Satara Campbell , Atlanta, GA, Chiniqua Campbell, Atlanta, GA, Paternal Great Aunts, Patricia Alford, Jacqueline Davis, and Tonya Alford.  He also leaves a multitude of cousins and friends to always cherish his memory including his Godmother Jacquanna McCallum, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Godfather(s), Eric McCallum, Lumberton, NC , Vonta Leach of Lumberton, North Carolina and Michael McLean of Rowland, NC also cousins Jadyn Ocean, Rowland, NC and Desmond Davis of Tucker, GA , that he shared a special brother like bond with.
