Niasia Oliver Obituary

Niasia Ann Oliver, 35, of Lumberton, North Carolina died at UNC Health Southeastern on May 19, 2023, after a brief illness.

She began her childhood in Suffolk County, New York. She attended elementary school there and attended school here in North Carolina when her family relocated “Down South” to Fairmont, North Carolina, which was her mother’s birth state.  She also received a Certificate of Completion in Early Childhood Education at Robeson Technical Institute which is now named Robeson Community College.

Niasia gained employment with various companies in North Carolina during her work history.  She was most satisfied with her most recent employment at  Ameya’s Beauty LLC where she was the sole owner and operator. She carried a line of beauty products as well as women and children clothing and anything that the ladies desired to pamper themselves. She thoroughly enjoyed this work. Those of you who knew her knew that she was always dressed to impress.  Her zest for life and her individual style will truly be missed.

She sought to live life with purpose, but with her own flair. She like the rest of us, lived through some trials, some tribulations, she experienced good times and bad times, she achieved many successes, and realized some failures.  Through it all, she held on to her faith in God and with the support of her family and friends was able to “STAND”.

She was the mother of two beautiful children, Myasia Oliver and Windasia McCrae who preceded her in death.   She was also preceded in death by Windell McCrae the father of her daughter Wyndasia; her grandmother, Laura Bell Oliver, her aunt Janet Powers, her special niece Ameya Oliver and Nephew Deontte Bethea Sr.

Left with precious memories include her daughter Myasia Oliver, her mother Laura Giordano, her siblings, Angela Oliver, Kim Oliver, Erica Oliver, Michael Oliver, Malik Giordano, and Leon Watson. Her aunts; Lenora Cleveland (Alvin), Alice Oliver, Fay Worley, Rose Smith (Jimmy); her uncles; Bernard Oliver (Iris) and Lenwood Oliver.  Nieces: Kristen Floyd, Kynzie Lesane, Michaela Oliver, Mayala Giordano, Kaleya Giordano; Nephews: Kenneth Oliver, Tamoric Oliver, Bishop Lambert, and Keyden Giordano; Great Nieces and Nephews; Jessica McNeill, Maddison Bethea, Bracelie Stocks, Deontte Bethea Jr.; Special friends Dorothy Bryant and Destiny Smith and a host of other family and friends.  We must recognize the Panthersford Presbyterian Church Family for their generosity during this hour of bereavement for the Oliver family.  We will always remember your kindness.

Don’t be sad for me, rejoice that I am at peace and with others that I love deeply.  Remember me with a smile.
