Obituary

Ms. Priscilla Lynn Leach, affectionately known as Cilla to her family and friends, was born December 30, 1962, to the late Gladys Mae Leach Butler. She transitioned from her earthly home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Morrison Manor Hospice House in Laurinburg, North Carolina surrounded by her loving family.

Priscilla attended schools in the Public Schools of Robeson County school system, and received her master’s degree in social work from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Priscilla absolutely loved the Lord, and was a faithful member at Beauty Spot United Methodist Church of Rowland, North Carolina until her health declined. She happily devoted her time to multiple committees within the church including The Financial and Budget committee, and The Worship committee. She was the assistant financial secretary, an usher, and the chairperson of staff for Pastor Parish Relations. She attended bible study and Sunday school regularly and was a member of the Total Praise choir. Priscilla was a hardworking woman and worked many years in Behavioral Health before changing her career path to a CPS caseworker. She loved children and was passionate about her job.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Mae Leach Butler, one brother, James “Bear” Leach, and one sister Carolyn Faye Leach.

Priscilla leaves all her love with; two daughters, Lakeisha Leach of Rowland, NC and Camry Ocean of the home; two sisters, Patricia Bullard of Rowland, NC, and Sharon Alonso (Peter) of Lumberton, NC; three brothers, Charles Leach and John Bullard of Rowland, NC, and Purcell Leach (her twin brother) of Lumberton, NC; one grandson, Elizah Leach of Rowland, NC, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all loved her dearly.

Until the Next Time

Now that you’re gone, we feel so very alone. We’re saddened we lost our best friend; we’ll cherish you until the end. We will miss the laughs and good times we shared, we pray you know how much we all cared. God called you home to take your rest, and although we’re sad, we know he only takes the best. This is not goodbye, but instead we’ll see you later, and the next time we meet, it’ll be so much greater.

                                                            Keisha, Camry and Elizah
