Mrs. Sarah Jane Bellamy Evans, 83 received her reward of eternal life on Friday October 23, 2020 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Longs, South Carolina in 1936. She married Mr. Henry C. Evans Sr. and they made their home in Mt. Vernon, NY, where they raised their family.
Sarah attended Bronx Community College in New York where she received her Practical Nursing Degree.
She retired from Beth Israel Nursing Home after many years of service. She joined Allen Memorial COGIC where she served as a prayer warrior until relocating to Fairmont, NC in 1996. Upon returning home she joined First Baptist Church in Fairmont where she was a faithful member in attendance and in her financial obligation to the church, serving as a Missionary, taught Sunday School and continued her service to God until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Booker T Bellamy, one daughter Sylvia C Evans, her siblings Willard, Joseph, Harrison, Samuel, Bessie Green and Oneida Gause.

Great-grandchildren: Jalayia Evans, Keziah McMillian, David L. Keller, Jr., Joshua D. Keller, Elijah J. Keller, Izabella K. Jackson and Jack Z. Subah; Her Siblings ;
Linda A. Scott (Sidney) Longs, SC, Booker T. Bellamy, Jr. (Mary) Calabash, NC. Her Step-Daughter-Elaine DeWitt(Freddie) Columbia, SC, Step-Grandson-Lamonte DeWitt (Stephanie) , Step-Greatgrands - Erica DeWitt, and Alicia DeWitt. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in North and South Carolina.
