On Sunday, March 28, 2021, God whispered to our loved one “come to me and take your rest.” Tanisha Evelyn Harden was born on January 9, 1982 in Bronx, New York to Paul Purcell and Rose Mae Harden. She was reared in New York and later moved with her grandmother to Rowland, North Carolina. Tanisha finished high school at Robeson Community College in 2003. While completing her courses, she also achieved her certificate to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Tanisha loved the Lord and accepted him as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Beauty Spot United Methodist Church in Rowland, North Carolina. Tanisha was a dedicated daughter, sister and mother. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Harden. Tanisha leaves to cherish her memory: her loving grandmother Ruby Purcell, who raised her; father, Paul Purcell (Michelle), mother, Rose Mae Harden, son, Vincent Ortiz; three brothers, Paul Purcell, Jr., Jerome Mitchell, and James Mitchell; one sister, Morgan Purcell; eleven aunts, four uncles, three great-aunts, four great-uncles; three special aunts, Janine Blunt, Brenda Harden and Evelyn Harden; goddaughter Jadia Mitchell; two godmothers, Vanessa Blunt and Alicia Taylor; one godfather, Glenn Blount; one nephew, Paul Purcell III; one niece, Priah Purcell and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
