Mr. Terry Coleman, of Hope Mills, North Carolina formerly of Fairmont passed away peacefully on Sunday August 15, 2021 in Moore County Hospital of Pine Hurst, North Carolina. Terry was born on April 19, 1957 in Lumberton, North Carolina. He was educated in the public schools of Robeson County. At an early age Terry confessed Christ as his Savior and joined First Baptist Church North Main Street in Fairmont under the pastorage of Dr. Joy J Johnson.
God led Terry to begin an outreach ministry in June of 2012, where he was active in providing visitation services, prayer, food and clothing to those in need. He joined Moriah Ministerial Fellowship under the leadership of Dr. Marian Jones.
Terry became an ordained minister on March 21, 2013. He received an associates degree in Biblical Studies from North Carolina Theological Studies on May 30, 2015. He also received an associates degree of Religion from Liberty University on February 27, 2017.
Terry became a member of Breezwood Church of Hope Mills where he served as a greeter and served on the outreach ministry. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and he enjoyed talking about the Washington Redskins & the Boston Celtics. Terry really enjoyed his Sunday evening drives with his wife, LaShunda. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; Mr. Clifton Coleman Sr. and Mrs. Helen Granger Coleman; his sister's Mrs. Marcia McCollum and Ms. Bernadette Coleman; and his brother: Mr. Clifton Coleman Jr..
Terry leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife; Mrs. LaShunda Coleman, his three daughters; Mrs. Shauntia (Walter) McLeod of Lumberton, NC, Mrs. Santana (Marvein) Coleman of Merced, California; Alayshia Hannah of Lumberton, NC. Four sisters; Pamela Baldwin (Steve), Sabrina Coleman, Donna Moody and Denise (Tommy) Lyons all of Fairmont, North Carolina; Three grandchildren; Calli McLeod, Zar'tavian McLeod and Jeremiah Andrews; Three Aunts; Betty McConnell of Brooklyn, NY, Bertha Mae Colvin of Upper Maryland and Carlie Coleman of Fairmont, NC. and a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
