Vickie Jones

Mrs. Vickie McDaniel Jones passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 26, 2024.  She was born on May 16, 1966, to Betty McDaniel and the late Bobby Rufus Miles in Rowland North Carolina.  Vickie attended South Robeson High School along with the graduating class of 1984.  She enjoyed taking care of others; thus, she pursued a career in the medical field.  She spent years of her life working as a CNA at Dials Assisted Living doing exactly what she loved doing, providing tender and loving care for the sick and frail.  Her special love for people which most could not understand, aided her in providing care to the residents.  

On March 26, 2024, while in the comfort of her home, Vickie heard the call of a higher power and departed this life for a sweet eternal rest.  She was preceded in death by her oldest brother Ferrazanna McDaniel, her sister Skyla McDaniel and her son Jameson McKinnon. 

Vickie leaves to cherish her memory her husband James Jones of the home, three sons: Daniel McDaniel of Baltimore, Maryland, Deshawn and Deonta McDaniel both of the home; one daughter Alexcia McDaniel of Rowland, NC; her mother Betty McDaniel of Rowland, NC : Eleven grandchildren: Ja'Quarius McDaniel, Anajah Baker, Kamyilah Baker, Ny'Sir McDaniel, Deonta McDaniel, Jr. Keyonna McDaniel, Diamond McDaniel, Shaniyah Powers, Ny'vion McDaniel, Joeliya McDaniel and Zarah McDaniel.  One great grand Jha'Xorri Baker.

Vickie had three godchildren: Iris McInnis, Melissa Davis-Ocean and Radrelle Thompson; one special nephew / son Johnathan McDaniel, special friend Fred Page; Five special friends Valerie Taylor, Cheryl McCallum, Karen Smith, Lisa Meekins, and her heart of them all her Hazel Thompson (aka) Boot, Brothers and Sisters-in-law Daniel R. Jones (Doris) Eric Jones, Larry Jones, Willie Jones (Angela)  Ruby Jones, Jeanette Jones and Gloria Jones. and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives that she loved dearly.
